The Trail Ahead

Goblins & Gunslingers Roadmap

The Wild Frontier now has two clear trails: an account-free Showdown demo for AI duels, and the account-based Online Outpost for ranked matches, collections, decks, and rewards.

Browser Beta

Implemented & Under Verification

These features exist in current source. Public availability is confirmed after the deployed launcher, build manifest, game artifacts, and release smoke tests pass.

Core Lane-Based Duels

Browser beta with 7-lane combat, High-Rise targeting, Cover Tokens, AI play, and the current Season 2 rules. Full production rules-conformance verification remains.

Frontier Run Stage I

Legacy web beta with 150 trail HP, branching routes, shops, and stage rewards. Godot migration and automated journey coverage remain.

215-Card Season 2 Client Catalog

Current source contains exactly 215 unique cards: 181 Creatures, 33 Spells, and one Item across seven playable factions, Golem forms, and neutral cards.

Ranked Matchmaking Beta & Friend Duels

Ranked beta has rating-aware queues, server-reduced actions, a five-minute server clock, and signed pending choices that survive reloads in both player perspectives. Real two-account reconnect, load, and abuse testing remain; friend challenges currently live in the web account hub.

Deck Builder

Build and save 52-card decks with ownership checks, faction, Spell, and Item filters, and two-copy limits. Deputy selection, deletion workflows, and ranked custom decks remain.

Booster Packs & Collections

Five-card, rarity-weighted pack opening and atomic account grants are implemented. Production retry, distribution, and authenticated end-to-end verification remain.

Developer Blog

The archive, three public development updates, server-rendered article routes, dynamic post sitemap, and daily publishing dispatch are implemented. Newsletter, Discord, and indexing delivery still require production retry and alert verification.

Tin Plating Attachment Support

Tin Plating now occupies one persistent creature equipment slot in Godot and ranked authority. It grants +1/+2 and a one-hit Tin Shield, survives Gnome transforms, and enters discard when its host dies.

First-Login Tutorial & How-to-Play

A nine-step guided duel covers hand play, lanes, Cover, High-Rise, Spells, Deputies, and completion or skip. Fresh-account production testing and a dedicated resource lesson remain.

Individual Faction Pages

Guides are available for all seven playable factions; Golem forms are covered within the Gnome guide.

Showdown AI Demo

A focused no-account demo with computer duels, a perspective western table, music, animated turn cues, and optional particles.

Account-First Online Outpost

The account beta syncs collections, deck saves, packs, tutorial progress, and ranked queueing. The website profile remains a separate account hub; match history is not yet available.

Soundtrack & Duel Ambience

Menu and battle music, dedicated victory and defeat stingers, frontier wind, card impacts, and separate music and effects controls.

In the Works

Riding Now — Summer 2026

Active work now centers on Season 2 card identity, deeper rules coverage, and the next campaign trail.

  2. PlannedAfter browser beta validation

    Godot Desktop & Steam Release

No downloadable Steam release is live yet. Windows x86_64, universal macOS, and Linux x86_64 Godot account-client exports now pass cross-platform manifest, size, executable-mode, and SHA-256 development preflight. The standalone macOS app also passes local bundle, signature, and catalog-startup checks. Clean release provenance, native Windows and Linux testing, production signing and notarization, Godot Steamworks integration, real depot IDs, and a successful SteamCMD upload still block release.

  3. In the WorksSummer 2026

    Season 2 Card Set

The 215-card client set includes Ricochet, Tin Shield, Ornery, Hoodoo, Rally, and the Gnome-Golem flip. The current pass checks printed behavior and portrait relevance across the complete active pool. Preview it in the card gallery.

  4. PlannedAfter browser beta validation

Frontier Run Stage II & Beyond

New campaign stages with harder routes, new reward cards, and escalating boss encounters.

  5. In the WorksSummer 2026

    Advanced Card Targeting

Server-signed multi-step creature, hero, Cover Token, and empty Cover-lane choices now resume in both Godot and web clients, including player-two ownership and distinct-target history. Production two-account reconnect testing, generalized modifier expiry, and remaining rare card semantics stay in active implementation.

  6. In the WorksProduction verification

    Production Dust Checkout

The signed-in Stripe flow and secure fulfillment endpoint are implemented, but this remains a release gate until a real production payment, webhook, account credit, and cancellation path are verified end to end.

  7. PlannedAfter ranked beta validation

    Ore Spending Mechanics

Ore earned from multiplayer wins will unlock cosmetics, card backs, and profile customization.
