The frontier is open—and we have already sent our first update down the trail. Goblins & Gunslingers launched in Steam Early Access on August 16, 2026, bringing our free western-fantasy trading card game to Windows and macOS. Now A Sharper Showdown: The High Noon Update is live.

To everyone who has installed the game, built a posse, and played a hand: thank you. Getting onto Steam was a milestone. Making the next duel better is the work that comes after it.

Out now on Steam. Still free to play.

You can play Goblins & Gunslingers on Steam today. Pick your Sheriff, build a deck, and fight for control of five lanes and two High-Rise positions. Mana and Gold give you two resources to manage, while Cover and positioning make the ground you hold matter.

The Steam release brings the native desktop client, Steam achievements, and Steam Wallet checkout.

Meet our first update: High Noon

High Noon sharpens the experience from the main menu to the last shot of a duel. Here are the highlights from our first Steam update announcement:

  • A new parallax main menu. The frontier has more depth and movement from the moment you arrive.
  • Clearer action at the table. Sharper card effects and improved duel feedback make it easier to follow the showdown.
  • Refined mouse, controller, and touch controls. Controller focus indicators are clearer, with improvements to navigation and interaction.
  • More readable everyday screens. Settings, accounts, the store, and pack opening have received presentation and usability improvements.

Gold at the table. Ore after the showdown.

The update also brings economy changes worth knowing before your next match. Unspent Gold carries between turns, and each turn adds one base Gold alongside existing effects and bonuses. Saving for a later play becomes part of the decision.

Completed online matches award 50 Ore for a win or 25 Ore for a loss. A booster pack costs 100 Ore, and Ore purchases in the Steam client go through Steam checkout.

The original Frontier Run remains available. High Noon focuses on presentation, controls, and the economy; the full announcement has the details and release notes.

Pull up a chair. Help shape the next update.

Early Access means the game is available to play while development continues. Balance, cards, and features can change as we learn from the people playing. Your feedback helps us decide where to spend that time.

If you are new, the rules guide will introduce the table, and the card catalog will help you find your first posse. If you have already been playing, take High Noon for a spin and tell us how it feels in the community Discord.

We are on Steam. Our first update is here. There is another hand to play.
